All Legacy Trees are at least 2 years old when sponsored and grow about 1 foot per year. Most trees take around 5 years before they are ready to harvest. Each year, we’ll send you an update with a photo so you can follow your tree’s progress.
When your tree reaches a harvestable height (about 6–8 feet tall), we’ll notify you that it’s ready. If you share your preferred height at the time of purchase, we’ll let you know when your tree reaches that size (please note—taller trees take longer to grow).
When your tree is ready, we will reaffirm your choice to come to our farm to cut it down yourself or donate it to a local veteran or family in need. If donated, we’ll send you a photo and update of the family or veteran who received your gift.
You’re also welcome to visit the farm during regular business hours to check in on your tree at any time.
